fishing for garfish

Fishing on the garfish is fun.They are sportfish how will give lot of resistance when you give them a chance , when you fish with adapted material.Every year in may we drive to holland for this fish.

The best time for fishing them is two hours before rising tide and two hours after rising tide.When it started to rain you can no langer fish .In holland the best period is between May and September

1.What do you need ?

- a fishline between 3 and 4 meters.

- a fishline with tickness of 25/100 or 30/100.

- hooks form 6/100 to 8/100 , these hooks need to be strong.

-a few floats between 30 and 70 gram.It all depend on the weather .Is there lots of wind you have to use the 70 gams floats.

- The wind may not be stronger then 3 beaufort.

- bait in the form of a piece of fish that is not bigger then 3 centimeter and not thicker then 3 millimeter.The piece of fish can be garfish or salmon.We even use bacon.All these baits have to give the impression of a little fish.A piece of a pig hart is also very very good.

2. Technique.

- You can throw the line and wait until he bites.

-You can throw the line and be a active fisher.We use a the following way; Whe trow the line , whe wait a few seconds , then we turn two time at the mill and then we wait 20 secs.And so on.Until the fish bites.You will see clearly as the fish bites.

-The fish often swim in schools and when you are lucky ...our record is 27 fish .Friends of us have taken more then fifty , they say...

3.Delicious fish

Despite its green ridges the fish is good for eating and he tast good.Give it a try and you will see ...
